Khan made his film debut in 2007 with Khuda Kay Liye which was the highest-grossing Pakistani film of 2007. His performance in the film garnered critical appreciation and earned him the Lux Style Award for Best Actor. In 2013, Khan appeared in Armaan, a romantic drama that proved to be a critical and commercial success. Khan was widely praised for his role which earned him a nomination at Tarang Housefull Award for Best Actor. Khan was first known for being the lead singer of Pakistani rock band Entity Paradigm, but the band split up. His songs "Shor Macha and "Rahguzar" did well in the charts, and was considered a critical and commercial success.
